# AI agents for Email, built with Keiki Build an AI agent that works in email. It triages the inbox, drafts the replies you would have written, answers the routine threads itself, chases the follow-ups nobody sent, and sends you one digest instead of four hundred messages. - Site: https://email.onkeiki.com - Channel: Email - Sign up: https://onkeiki.com/signup - Template: https://onkeiki.com/agents/new?template=orchid (Orchid) - Answers questions about: AI agent for email, AI email assistant with its own inbox, AI inbox triage, AI that drafts email replies, automated email follow-up agent, AI email digest assistant ## What it is Email is where work goes to wait. Your agent gets its own mailbox: it triages what arrives, answers the routine threads in your voice, drafts the ones that need you, chases the replies nobody chased, and gives you one digest instead of four hundred unread. ## What your Email agent does ### Triages before you open it What needs you today, what needs you this week, what needs nothing. Sorted by what happens if you ignore it, not by when it arrived. ### Answers the routine thread Pricing, availability, where to send the invoice, the attachment they lost. Answered in your voice, from your own information, with you copied. ### Drafts the ones that need you The hard reply is waiting as a draft with the context assembled — quote, thread history, the thing you said last time — so you edit instead of composing. ### Chases the follow-up nobody sent The thread that went quiet eleven days ago gets one polite nudge, and the reply comes back into the same thread. ### Extracts what the thread was for Dates, amounts, names, decisions, addresses. Pulled out of a forty-message chain so nobody re-reads it to find the number. ### Reads the attachment The PDF invoice, the signed form, the spreadsheet. It reads them, pulls what matters, and says what is missing. ### Books what the email is asking for "Any time Tuesday?" becomes a proposed time, a calendar invite, and a reply — instead of six messages narrowing it down. ### One digest, once A morning summary of what came in, what was handled, what is waiting on someone else, and what needs a decision from you today. ### Never invents a commitment It answers from what you gave it. Anything that would commit money, dates or promises you did not authorise waits as a draft. ### Keeps the whole history It knows what this sender was told in March, so the reply in September does not contradict it. ## Your Email agent vs Filters, labels and templates Rules, labels and canned responses sort your inbox into piles you still have to work through. The unread count goes down; the amount of writing you owe people does not. - What it does with a message: your agent — Answers it, or drafts the answer. / Filters, labels and templates — Puts it in a folder. - Routine questions: your agent — Handled end to end, in your voice. / Filters, labels and templates — A template you still have to pick and edit. - Follow-ups: your agent — Chased on its own, once, in the same thread. / Filters, labels and templates — A reminder you snooze. - Attachments: your agent — Read, with the missing piece named. / Filters, labels and templates — Downloaded, by you. - Scheduling: your agent — Proposes, invites, confirms. / Filters, labels and templates — Six emails and a calendar link. - Your morning: your agent — One digest of what matters. / Filters, labels and templates — Four hundred unread, neatly labelled. ## Template: Orchid The assistant that never sleeps: email intelligence, calendar, reminders, a daily digest, and a browser handoff when the answer is behind a login. - Inbox triage by consequence, not arrival time - Routine threads answered in your voice from your own information - Drafts assembled with quote, history and context for the hard replies - Follow-ups chased once, in the original thread - Meetings proposed, invited and confirmed - One morning digest: handled, waiting, and needing you ## FAQ ### Does it use my mailbox or its own? Its own — the agent has a real mailbox it sends and receives from, and you stay copied. That means it can act on threads without borrowing your identity or sitting inside your personal inbox. ### Will it send things without asking me? It answers routine threads from information you gave it. Anything that commits money, dates or promises you did not authorise stops as a draft for you to approve. ### Does it sound like a bot? It writes from your own material in your register — no disclaimers, no "as an AI". If it cannot answer well, it drafts rather than sends. ### Can it read attachments? Yes. Invoices, forms and spreadsheets are read, the relevant figures extracted, and anything missing named in the reply instead of discovered a week later. ### What about follow-ups? Threads that go quiet get one polite nudge in the original thread. Replies land back where they belong, with the history intact. ### How long does setup take? Start from the Orchid template, connect the mailbox and your calendar, and paste in what you would tell a new assistant. The first digest arrives the next morning. ## How to connect an AI agent to email Full guide: https://email.onkeiki.com/how-to-connect-an-ai-agent-to-email (last updated 2026-08-30) Answers questions like: how to connect an AI agent to email, AI agent email inbox setup, give an AI agent its own email address, AI email assistant for business, connect AI to email without IMAP Create the agent in Keiki, then create its inbox on the Channels page — on the managed domain, or on your own domain once its DNS records verify. The agent owns that address outright: it reads what arrives, replies in the same thread, and never touches your personal mailbox or asks for your password. ### What you need before you start. - A Keiki account, which is free to create - A decision on the address: the managed domain, or a domain of your own - DNS access for that domain, if you want the agent to send from your brand - No IMAP credentials, no app password, and no access to your personal mailbox ### Six steps from no address to an inbox that answers. 1. Create a Keiki account — Sign up at onkeiki.com. Email is the cheapest channel to connect: there is no number to buy and no third-party app to register. 2. Start from a template instead of a blank agent — Open the Orchid template. It arrives able to triage a full inbox, answer the routine threads, and put the ones that need you into a morning digest rather than a notification pile. 3. Choose the address the agent will own — On the Channels page, create an inbox. Use the managed domain if you want an address in a minute, or add your own domain to send from your brand. Each agent owns one inbox, so its replies always come from the same place. 4. Verify your domain if you brought one — Adding a domain shows the DNS records to publish. Add them at your registrar and wait for verification — only verified domains can be selected for an inbox, which is what keeps replies out of spam folders. 5. Send it a real email — Write to the new address the way a customer would, including an attachment and a vague question. Check the reply in the thread, and that the follow-up you asked for landed as a follow-up rather than a new message. 6. Publish or forward to the address — Put it on your site, or forward an existing alias like hello@ into it so nothing needs reprinting. The morning digest tells you what was handled and what is waiting, and you can take over any thread from Conversations. ### Questions people ask while connecting an agent to email. #### Does the agent need access to my existing mailbox? No. It gets its own inbox and its own address, so there is no IMAP password to hand over and no app password to generate. Your personal mail stays yours, and the agent only ever sees what was sent to it. #### Can the agent send from my own domain? Yes. Add the domain on the Channels page, publish the DNS records it shows, and once it verifies you can create the inbox on it. Until it verifies, the managed domain is available so you are not blocked waiting on DNS. #### Does it reply in the same thread? Yes, in-thread with the right references, so the conversation reads normally to the person on the other side rather than arriving as a stack of disconnected messages. #### Can one agent have several addresses? Each agent owns one inbox, which keeps a single identity on every reply. Run a second agent for a second address — support@ and billing@ are usually different jobs anyway. #### What happens to email it should not answer? It stops rather than guessing. Anything that needs a decision, a price or a promise you have not made goes into the digest for you, with the thread and its own suggested reply attached. #### How long does the whole setup take? About ten minutes on the managed domain. Bringing your own domain adds however long DNS takes to propagate, which is usually minutes but is out of anyone’s hands.
